If you have any questions about the migration, please post them in this thread.

We are aware of the following known issues listed below. If other issues are discovered they will be listed here.

1. Smilies (cosmetic issue, low priority) - some of the graphics are missing. Shows as an empty block in IE, text in Firefox

2. Missing text (content issue) - we are aware that some posts were truncated during the migration. Short of recloning the board and starting over (which will probably give us similar results) the only solution is if you feel the post is critical to copy and paste it from the other board. It isn't an ideal solution, but at the moment it's the only one we can offer.

3. Avatars (preference issue) - Avatars didn't transfer. You will need to re-upload or re-link to your avatar. Maximum size is 100x100 pixels and 32k.

4. Signatures (preference issue) - Signatures didn't transfer. You will need to recreate your signature.

There are also some issued regarding unusual characters in thread titles. For example. I also found the issue with my thread regarding the Odin class, where the "s were problematic. This can be easily fixed by editing the first post and re-typing the subject.

When it comes to smilies Chrome displays a small default image for the ones that aren't working.

[edit:] The "View active topics" option does not appear to be working. It's not showing anything when I click on it.

Correct. I think it's a glitch with the HTML, a simple reedit of the title will fix it.

So how do I turn off the default "Notify me when a reply is posted" option and make attaching a signature default instead? Do I simply need to make a post where I've changed the options?

[Edit]: Apparently not...

1. Go to the User Control Panel.
2. Click on Board Preferences located in the left hand menu.
3. Click on Edit Posting Defaults.

You will have four yes/no options:
1. Enable BBCode by default
2. Enable smilies by default
3. Attach my signature by default
4. Notify me upon replies by default

Make your changes and then click the Submit button and you should be good to go. It will not retroactively attach a signature.

Actually, Wolfman, the quote is from the old radio serial, "The Shadow"...

"Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!" was how the show started.

glad everything migrated ok. but every thread ever created is listed as a new posting in my account until I finally click on a thread then it is classified as read. how do I fix it so I am actually only shown only true new postings when I log in?
