Ok this maybe a simple question to answer. but how to do i do mercuary armour on my ships?

wait! What program are you using. I've been doing a star destroyer in the style of the mercuary , and have found the amour easy to do, just not alot of fun :P

There's no real secret, just a LOT of tedious, tedious work drawing lines. I try to break up the pattern so it doesn't look too regular and get visually boring when its done. One thing you need to remember when drawing is the angle of the plate in relationship to the viewer. If the plate is leaning away from the viewer, i.e. the top edge is further away, then I will either draw two black lines for the lower edge if it is a shallow angle or two black lines separated by a line of the hull shadow color. If its leaning towards me, then I reverse the process, though I will probably still use a line of the shadow color since a plate leaning towards the viewer is probably under the ship.
