Ok, I made this as it helps put things in perspective for me, Its the USS Nimitz Aircraft Carrier, as this place (and now me) all seem to use:

1 pixel = 3.23 feet/0.985 meters

Heres a in that scale image (top/bottom) view of the USS Nimitz, I use it by plastering it next to the ship I'm working on to keep my perspective of size, especially helpful in making floors and deck plans..

Ive found myself making a room way too big.. then I look at the below image, and smack myself..

I find it very useful, so I have a real world object to compare to, as its hard for me to make things with out it. (Silly I know) But it helps me and I love size comparisons!

Thanks, obviously I didnt draw it, but it took forever to get it in scale (resize.. undo, resize.. undo, resize.. undo.. repeat 100 times lol)

I'm rather obsessive with details, it will be my downfall eventually lol..

Neat idea. The galactica is not as big as i thought it was, and it raises the question, how big is its KEW ammunition?

Well...If you use this image http://tinyurl.com/6r4vdls as a yardstick, the gunner's dome has a guy sitting in it and the gun bore is about as tall as he is...taking perspective into account, I think it's safe to say that they're about a meter or so in diameter, possibly two.

Gawd, Galactica is a big ship. And not even the biggest compared to some of the other ships created here. Awesome work!

Scale is 1.67 meters per pixel.

The Refit Enterprise is 1000 feet long. Most Trek ships are tiny compared to other genre's ships.

Where they excel, however, is the lack of a fuel bunkerage requirement and relatively small engines compared to the hull size (warp drives not included). They also don't have the cavernous bays that the B5, BSG, and SW ships tend to carry.

That Earth Destroyer is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Withe direct energy weapons, I wonder which would win in a fight. The Agamemnon or a battlestar..?

B5 ships are BIG! Even the White Star is 50% larger than the Enterprise with a length of 475 meters according to the people who worked on the show. As for comparisons, I think a Battlestar would be in trouble against most other genre ships. BSG weaponry is basically tech that is available or under development now. Their FTL tech is the only real advantage, allowing instantaneous travel from one point to another while SW, ST, and B5 require travel from one point to the next that takes time.
