Why such a dark hull colour?

And against a dark background?

...in the dark, 50Stone. I basically wanted to see the ship with its lights on. :D

Still working on this ol' girl. My Muse is capricious and unpredictable, coming and going as she pleases like a cat. That said, we have glowing impulse engines and Bussard collectors!

Photon torpedo pod ortho armed with two torpedo tubes and two phaser emitters; depicted with two types of photorp.

Small rapid-firing torpedo using low-Z elements; for small targets or overloading shields with ions. Large 'Klingon type' torpedo with massive antimatter charge and transuranic elements for very high yield, fireball, and blast effect; this is for planetary bombardment or shattering starship hulls in a single hit. Launcher can quickly switch between types or load each tube differently. Small 'ion torpedo' can be fired as multiple projectile 'shotgun blast'. Both torpedo types are homing.

Thanks. I noticed two main types and colors of photon torpedo across the TOS, TNG, nTOS, and Axanar series. I figured I'd 'fanonize' a way to reconcile these things by proposing two distinct types. My ship is a hybrid of the different series' designs as it stands; its weaponry would reflect that.
