Looks good. My side view isn't done yet, but I have been slowly plugging away at it. I keep getting distracted by insignia and such.

As I mentioned in the main Yamato 2199 thread, I tracked down the proper font for the kana names on the side of the ships. Since I was pleased with how it looked, I whipped up an example of Yukikaze's anchor, number, and name on representative colors.

Something I've been wanting to do since I saw episode 7, the Yamato beer labels. It's not done yet, I need to get a proper font for the hiragana title and do the small English text that fits underneath the ship. I'll probably also tweak the colors. Right now the gold and red are borrowed from the Sapporo Beer logo.

If all else fails, the EDF can sell booze on the interstellar market to boost the Earth's economy following Yamato's return.

Thanks, guys. I'll get this one finished up soon. The biggest thing is I need to figure out what it says underneath the ship, but above OMCS. The little "Trade Mark" up at the top is easy to figure out but I haven't a clue on the rest.

From one of the theater booklets comes a scale for the Earth and Gamilas warships as of episode 11.

There is always more and more of them coming. Sort of expected from a large possibly intergalactic empire.

The Blue ships are under the control of the Gamilas Empire's Imperial Guard (Waffen SS equivalent I suppose). The small green ship is not entirely clear what it is. Speculated to be a Torpedo Boat or something.

The little green one is a pretty sexy ship!

I like the big blue battle beast too!

So after watching the latest bluray, got a lot of work done on the Yukikaze. Pretty much all that's left for the initial line art is all the thrusters all over the ship and the cockpit windows, which I have been dreading for a while. I will probably do an unshaded profile for now, in the interest of clearing some of my backlog.

Nice. Though the hard part is yet to come.
