Interesting. I still think it is too large compared to the warships; it is too high value of a target and too easy to spot.
Regarding the turrets: Space is not the sea, it's three dimensional and when ships meet and engage in combat they aren't likely going to be on the same plane with the same deck orientation. Also, ships can roll to bring the batteries to bear and in doing so, they are able to move damaged areas out of the line of fire.
Finally, I really wish you would have asked me if you could use my designs before you modded them.
