Enjoy!

-----------

Dark Horse Class Corvette - Basic Hull

Info: The Dark Horse Class Corvette was a design that came about on the eve of the Dilgar War, the hull as seen above was the basic hull configuration without any weapons and added fixtures. The Dark horse class was easy to mass produce and fairly rugged for its time, with its larger than average power plant for a ship of its class allowed it to mount a variety of weapons and be retrofitted for a variety of duties.

Dark Horse Class Corvette - Basic Hull Retrofit

Info: Following the Dilgar War the Dark Horse Class received a retrofit, the Retrofit did offer a little bit more space and had a small hanger bay for receiving supplies but could also carry a small shuttle. The design had already been replaced by a multitude of designs and was relegated as a auxiliary roles, some had even been gifted to the fledgling Mars Guard so the Earth Alliance could deploy more vessels elsewhere. During the Earth-Minbari War, the Dark Horse had fared no better than the rest of the fleet and were slaughtered in large numbers. After the war the design was employed in large numbers to make up for the heavy losses suffered in the war, many of the ships were later reconfigured as tugs and some were even purchased as luxury crafts for wealthy individuals. By the time of Babylon 5's decommissioning, the Dark Horse class was still being produced but only in the civilian market and at a cheaper rate than the design had been originally produced at.

Red Dawn Class Corvette - Basic Hull

Info: A few years before the outbreak of the Earth-Minbari War, a series of Retrofitted Dark Horse Class Corvettes were transferred over to Mars Guard in order to defend Mars so the Earth alliance could have more of its vessels elsewhere. The Vessel were used much in the same way the Dark Horse had, it was a multipurpose design that could be reconfigured for a multitude of roles. After the Earth-Minbari war, Mars began building their own Red Dawn Class Corvettes and employing them to defend martian territory. Despite their numbers, the majority of them were slaughtered in the subjugation of Mars by the Order of President Clark.

Matilda Class Heavy Corvette - Basic Hull

Info: Derived from the successful Dark horse Class Corvette, the Matilda Class Heavy Corvette was an up-sized and heavily modernized design that can into service in the final months of the Dilgar War. The Design followed in the wake created by its predecessor with many of the same configuration capabilities and rugged performance, although it was meant to replace the Dark Horse it would instead work alongside of it. During the Earth-Minbari War, the Matilda class suffered like the rest of the Earth Alliance's Fleet did, though after the war the Dark Horse and Matilda classes were re-purposed to fill a multitude of roles for the recovering Earth Alliance. The Matilda class did not last much longer than the Dark Horse class in its military service, like the Dark Horse it found its way onto the civilian market where it became a well known vessel on the civilian market.

Beagle Class Escort Corvette - Basic Hull

Info: The Beagle Class Escort Corvette was a design of Ultra-Light Corvettes designated as Escort Corvettes, they supported a skeleton crew of a few dozen and were employed in a variety of non-combat duties. During both the Dilgar and Earth-Minbari Wars these vessels were employed as tugs, after the war these vessels returned to the duties as well as their Tug duties. Years later the design would become insanely popular to the civilian populace.

Ranger Class Support Corvette - Basic Hull

Info: The Ranger Class Support Corvette was small but heavily maneuverable craft capable of performing a multitude of tasks, ranging for scouting missions to acting as a base of operations for Covert Ops missions. Like many of the other corvettes that had come before it and would come after it, the Ranger class would see extensive service after its time in the military had expired and was quite popular on the civilian market.

Ace Class Light Corvette - Basic Hull

Info: The Ace Class Light Corvette was a redesign of the engine block used by the Beagle Class Escort Corvette, although it featured on less engine mounting it was just as fast and nimble in comparison to the Beagle Class. During wartime, many of the Ace class corvettes were utilized as SAR ships for fighters and pilots that managed to escape destruction or death. It was due to these vessels that numerous pilots and starfuries were able to rejoin the fight after some much needed care and supplies. After being made available on the civilian market, the design became popular to various individuals and groups.

Rosalind Class Pocket Frigate - Basic Hull

Info: The Rosalind Class Pocket frigate was a small purpose built warship designed for combat operations with as small of a operational crew as humanly possible and a cheap as possible. The end result was the Rosalind class Pocket Frigate, it possessed a crew of 48 and had minimal amounts of warship grade armor to save on costs. The Rosalind class had the unappealing nickname of being the "Cheap Casket for 48" due to its ease of mass production and its thin armor, it was not very well liked but was easy to mass produce in large numbers. The Design saw extensive use after being redesigned as a civilian vessel following the classes expiration as military warships.

Rosalind Class Pocket Frigate - EAS Boneyard

Info: The EAS Boneyard was the longest serving Rosalind Class Pocket Frigate in the Earth Alliance, it was the third vessel of the class to enter service and it was the last of the class to be decommissioned. The EAS Boneyard entered service late in the Dilgar War and would later be the only vessel of the Series I Rosalind Class to survive the Earth-Minbari War, it was nearly crippled dozens of times but managed to survive each encounter with death. It had the nickname of being the "Luckiest Casket" due to its ability to survive each and every encounter it faced, during the Earth Civil War, the Crew ended up siding with Captain Sheridan. During the Civil War, the EAS Boneyard escaped destruction multiple more times by the barest of margins and lots of luck. The Vessel was later turned into a museum ship following it decommissioning.

----------------

Yes I know, I used the designs of the Corellian Engineering Corporation as inspiration for several of these designs and I am the most proud of the Ranger Class most of all.

What about designing the fleet bases, repair and maintenance docks and such. The logistics alone to handle some of those ships would be unimaginable.
But I like em all.
