I like the Y-wing, the T-86 not so much; even for Star Wars it’s a horribly flawed design due to the lack of pilot visibility. Beyond that, the painting looks great! I really need to get out my airbrush and start on the several hundred 1/285 scale modern armor miniatures that need to be finished; Swedes, Finns, Israelis, and Chicoms.

Thank you for your honesty regarding the T-86 Velker, but as a dedicated bomber, it's poor visibility is not as bad as if it took part in dogfights. During missions where it would encounter enemy fighters, it would be escorted by standard fighter designs.

Star Wars is a visual universe, dogfights are within visual range, attacks are within visual range, with systems like HUDs and HDDs being used to manually put ordnance on target rather than selecting the target and letting the fire control system do the job, so visibility, regardless of the role, would be necessary. Why would you build something that intentionally hindered the pilot by design rather than giving him/her/it the best possible chances? I guess I'm form follows function.

Thank you for spelling out the problems with the T-86, Kurt!
