I can help with the thoughts and prayers, and the chapter should be coming by this time next week, hopefully sooner. If you need someone to talk, from what it sounds like I've been through what happened to you a couple times over the past ten years, just shoot me a note and I'll send my cell.

Since I'm almost finished editing Chapter 45, I figured I'd post some more battle group organization charts... There will be two more coming sometime over the next few days...I just haven't gotten around to making them yet.

Do I spy with my little eye a couple of new ships, Kurt?

I don't think we've seen the Observant that is assigned to Crusader's battlegroup before...

Perhaps... ;-)

That was something that Kamikazi did last fall. I'll let him do the honors of explaining...

These are two new designs that have been sitting in the "to be posted" bin for more than three years...

In the aftermath of the Cylon Uprising, the Colonial Ministry of Defense was keenly aware that combat had devolved to hand to hand fighting on numerous occasions and that the human side of the equation was grossly outmatched by the Cylon half of the equation. They began the Gladiator program to develop a powered exoskeleton that would give a human the same strength as a Cylon Centurion. Over the years, the designs were changed, adapted, modified, and refined into what the Colonial Marine Corps calls "Battle Dress Armor". The armor is still informally known as Gladiator armor, and derisively as 'wearing the can'. What is beyond doubt, however, is its effectiveness. Sealed against the elements and offering CBRN protection, the armor is able to withstand repeated 12.7mm hits, offers strength that is more than equal to a Cylon Centurion, or its projected replacement, and yet still has enough manual dexterity to allow the wearer to play the piano.

Battle Dress is offered in the standard configuration as well as a slimmer version for slighter operators. Consequently, the armor is known as either male or female configuration.

A full range of strengthened melee weapons is available for use with the armor.

Battle Dress Female:

Bless you for making female variant armor that isn't ridiculously sexualized! I love both versions; more armor designers should follow this example!

It could have a bit more room for her boobs, they'll get pretty squashed behind that breast plate, something like THIS or THIS would have worked a bit better.

Still a good design!

Agreed. Armor that accents the breasts is full of bullet traps (and even back when we wore plate armor, they didn't do it for similar reasons).

The problem is that when you start defining breasts, you then create weak spots and traps on the armor. The backstory to the two drawings was that the female armor was the first design Canis did and I asked him to bulk it up a bit. When I saw the two side by side, it made sense to have one for females and people of slight stature while the other was for everyone else.

Yeah I get that, and while a flat chested woman is going to be able to squeeze into that breast plate with minimal trouble, a woman with larger boobs is going to have problems, not in the short term, but after being crammed in there for several hours her compressed boobs are gonna star to hurt, it just needed a bit more room (5 to 10cm or so) to give her a bit of "wiggle room."

Like this (Hope it works, never direct linked to DA's Stash before)

Suggest a third variant, for women with even bigger boobs.
That section looks like armor paneling, anyway, so making it easy to adjust with a quick swap out of those armor panels...
That means that you only need to change at max, five armor panels and you're set.
That also means a female armor must have a total of ten alternating armor panels, so you can get all three configurations easily.

Is it just me or is the Enyo a bit blurry or do i need to have a paid account on Photobucket to see it not blurry?

No. It really isn't necessary from both a demographics perspective and an operational perspective. There is already a fair amount of room in the armor; it isn't form fitting, and this isn't a duty uniform for all Marines; only select groups.

It looks like Canis' account has reverted to a standard account where they cap the size of the images. If you need a BSG image, let me know which one and I can post it on my account from my archive. At the moment, I'm not going to post them all as I just don't have the time.
