The Battlestars Enterprise and Challenger, the descendants of the Pegasus and Valkyrie. I figured Colonial Battlestar design wouldn't have advanced tremendously in fifty years. They'd be busy reestablishing their shipbuilding industry so the new designs are evolutionary, not revolutionary. The drawing of the new Battlestar Atlantia, still under construction in the story, will be coming in the next few days.

That's pretty sweet chief! I am especially fond of the Challenger, mainly because I like the lines of the Valkyrie so much! Though to be sure, the Enterprise is certainly a sexy beast in and of her how right!

Hmm...this has brought something to my attention though.

Do ANY of the Mercury derivative vessels have ventral guns?

Not should they have them, but instead do they have them at all?

We know the original Pegasus doesn't have any dorsal or ventral guns except the ones at the ends of the flight pods. My Cerberus variant has dorsals, and probably ventrals as well, but you can't see them behind the pods. Enterprise would be similar, so her dorsal turrets are probably mirrored on her belly, you just can't see them in the drawing.

Enterprise, Challenger and the yet-to-be complete Atlantia (sweet Jebus, I hate drawing panel lines!) are the only new designs Ryan has mentioned and since this is the end of the story, I don't expect any more. Allen's story also goes into the future and he does have plans for a whole new fleet eventually, but that's still far off in the future both in his story and in real life, maybe next year, maybe later.

The Atlantia is finished, I'm just waiting for Ryan to give his approval before I post it.
