Thanks! When the chapter started, my intent was that they’d be partners, but as I wrote the characters developed and told me otherwise. I think it makes the story better and gives Sabah more of a three d aspect than the typical 2d villain.

Sabah is a Three.

Kittyhawk has a role...

Thanks!

Folks...I really appreciate the compliments on the chapter...however...I would like to know what you liked, disliked, and overall thought about the events.

Thanks!

I'm working on the next section because I want to try and get it posted before New Year's. It won't be long and will focus on three threads that were kind of left hanging that I want to trim and shape a bit.

Why am I doing this? Well...mostly for two reasons; first, the threads have been bugging me but the action is so far from the main story that they really need to be separate rather than forced into an existing chapter at this point. Second...I was contacted my the recruiter who placed me with my last employer...my supervisor pulled some strings and got me put in the budget for next year...so...I start back on January 6th. I don't know what my schedule will be like, so I want to get this out of the way now.

And with that...I'll let you get back to (hopefully) discussing details of Chapter 53!

9.5 pages in the next chapter have been completed. This will probably top out at between 25 and 35 pages.

I think you'll like the story about Jessup and Gertrude... ;-)

There's been 2300+ views since I posted Ch.53...any discussion on the content?

well for one i liked the return of some of the mose baseline characters, also i was pleased to see no BBQ to open any formal negotiations or meeting scenes (nice idea, but over over used). having a hard time keeping strait who is who, especially when we haven't seen them in a while

Thanks!

The BBQ was really a hat tip to several old friends, one of who passed away about a week before Canis; we were in a game of The Morrow Project and my character (the team leader) had a habit of talking first and suggesting that everyone have a talk around the campfire while sharing a meal.

As for the lesser known characters, they all have a purpose and sadly, some really are there for just the scene, but they all deserve some screen time. I'll try to add a little more expository text to remind the reader who someone is if they aren't commonly "seen".

Missing Pieces is up to 15 pages and I should be getting ready to start tying things together and aiming for its conclusion.

Missing Pieces is at 24 pages and should be concluded this weekend or Monday barring any issues that demand my time.

Still looking for discussion on Chapter 53...more than 5000 views...

Missing Pieces is at 30 pages and I have three threads to tie up and it should be good to go.

Missing pieces is at about 35 pages and should be completed well below 40 pages.

I had hoped to see more discussion on the events in Chapter 53 given the length and number of views that it's had since I posted it. As a writer, I really want to hear what was liked, what surprised and wasn't expected, what wasn't liked, etc. That's how I improve.

Hopefully, Missing Pieces will have more active discussion.

Kurt

Missing Pieces is finished. I'll read it tonight and start editing it, and hopefully, barring any issues, I should be able to post it Tuesday evening.
