This is the Earth Union battlestar Dido. The original A-class gunstar was evolved into the H-class, aka Hera class, by adding additional missile tubes and relocating the wing guns from a midships location to an aft location. The Dido evolved the design by using uprated engines to provide similar performance despite the extra mass, the removal of the additional missile tubes, and the addition of two flight pods to support the evolving fleet doctrine that utilized increasing numbers of fighters.

(note: this is similar to the design in the WIP thread, but the flight pods have additional dorsal turrets)

I think Ariadne is probably the most elegant and attractive gunstars that Canis ever drew. Dido takes it in a different direction.

It should link to Dido with the guns on top of the flight pods. What are you seeing?

It looks nice and sleek Kurt but why are you still using photobucket?
Deviant art is free and much better.

I prefer to post my images somewhere that I have at least a bit of control over them. Deviant Art is a mecca for image theft without attribution and I don't see myself posting much if anything there. I've always said that if someone wants a full size image to contact me and I'll gladly share it.

Odd...I just copied the link and pasted it into Chrome (which I don't use except for my Xfinity account) and the link resolved properly as it should for someone who doesn't have a PB account. Odd...

Fair enough, that’s true but if they are going to steal them they are going to whatever.
Personally I just object to paying photobucket to host my drawings.

If I want To make them freely available, albeit with the understanding my credits must be kept on said drawings and my permission saught I am happy to share with all.

Two more...

Thanks once again to Mia's groundwork, I was able to modify two of her designs (of 13th Tribe ships) into something else. They're basically the same ship, just going in different directions. I know which one I prefer, but I'm curious as to the readers' opinions.

(Sorry about the full sized image...PB saying the thumbnail link wasn't valid...)
