Hi everyone,

I’m requesting a BSG marine troop transport for large scale conflict on Leonis, please.

I don’t see the colonials using helicopters after the Cylon war due to heavy use of raiders by the Cylons. Helicopters seem like fish in a barrel. Raiders simply too maneuverable. And the colonials seem to favor space capable craft in general.

In daybreak and lay down your burdens, we see raptors could squeeze in maybe a dozen marines. I’m looking for a dedicated troop transport. Having more of them than being able to transport hundreds is logical. I kind of picture Battle of LA dropping helos groundside in preparation of combat. Does 25 personnel sound like an ideal capacity? With heavy point defense, not necessarily high offensive abilities beyond 2 KEWs or chainguns? Taking on fightercraft not the goal, not multipurpose, solely to hold its own against heavy oncoming fire from groundside cannons and raider fightercraft, get where it’s going and drop off troops.

Much like the transport helos we use in combat nowadays probably twice the size of a raptor, but this should be sleek very maneuverable so it can outmaneuver or outfly raider squadrons.

Any assistance is appreciated, thank you
Long live BSG
